Police and construction workers employed by local developer 7NG Group forcibly evicted Dey Krahorm's remaining 144 families and leveled their homes on January 24, 2009. Following the eviction, the families were sent to live in temporary shelters in Damnak Trayeung village in Dangkor district. They were relocated yet again to Kandal province's Ponhea Leu district on December 12 of last year and given 4-metre x 6-metre plots of land, on which they have build makeshift shelters of wood, mud, tarpaulin and corrugated tin. Residents say there are no jobs in the area and they have no way of earning a living because the relocation site os over 40 kilometeres from Phnom Penh.
