About Will Baxter

Will Baxter is a photographer and writer focusing primarily on conflict, human rights, and climate change.

After 14 years based in Southeast Asia, Will relocated to East Africa in 2017. During his career, Will has photographed stories ranging from the ‘virgin trade’ in Cambodia to the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines to the recent political upheaval in Kenya. He has also reported from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Burundi, Central African Republic, Indonesia, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Timor-Leste and Zimbabwe.

His clients include Der Spiegel, Stern, The Wall Street Journal, Sunday Times, The Observer, l’ObsAl Jazeera, Newsweek, Marie Claire, Internazionale, World Food Programme, UNFAO, ICRC, Labour Behind the Label and Terre des Hommes among others. 

As a writer and editor, Will has also produced analysis for ILO, two books about sustainable development in Thailand, and news features for a range of publications.
