About Will Baxter
Will Baxter is a photographer and writer whose work focuses primarily on conflict and human rights.
He has reported on conflicts in Afghanistan, Central African Republic, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Thailand; covered the aftermath of natural disasters such as Cyclone Nargis in Myanmar and Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines; produced in-depth investigative work on issues including the ‘virgin trade’ in Cambodia and illegal rosewood logging in the Cardamom Mountains; and more recently has documented political upheaval and related violence in Burundi and Kenya. His work has been published by Newsweek, Marie Claire, Der Spiegel, The Wall Street Journal, The Sunday Times, Al Jazeera and Internazionale among others.
Will has also worked as an editor and writer on two books about sustainable development in Thailand, and produced in depth analysis for the International Labour Organization and Minority Rights Group.
