About Will Baxter
Will Baxter is a documentary photographer based in Tbilisi, Georgia. His work focuses on the impacts of conflict, geopolitical upheaval and state-sponsored abuses – and how these play out in the lives of those affected.
Will has documented conflicts in Afghanistan, the Central African Republic, South Sudan, and Sri Lanka; covered political upheaval in Thailand, Myanmar, Burundi and Kenya; photographed the aftermath of natural disasters such as Cyclone Nargis in Myanmar and Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines; and produced in-depth investigative work on issues including the ‘virgin trade’ in Cambodia, state-sponsored torture and gender-based violence in Sri Lanka, and illegal rosewood logging in the Cardamom Mountains.
His work has been published by The Wall Street Journal, National Public Radio, Der Spiegel, Stern, Marie Claire, Newsweek, The Guardian, and The Sunday Times among others.
